Pros: The Harvey Norman salesman did a good job of selling this machine to us.
Cons: If you are considering purchasing a front loader, do not purchase an Ariston. Our model is a peice of junk, the after sales service agent is an air conditioning mechanic who knows nothing about washing machines,Ariston Customer service refused to assit.
Overall: We have been fans of front loading washing machines for some time. We a growing family we decided to invest ina large capacity machine. The local Harvey Norman store recommended this machine over any other. We listened to his advice and purchased the machine even taking out additional warranty coverage as extra insurance. The main bearing in the drum failed within a year. This required the washing machine to be taken away and repaired by the nominated local repair agent who is an air conditioning mechanic. When the machine was eventually returned, the drum had been refitted incorrectly, the door seal was not fitted and the machine never worked properly again. In spite of repeated attempts to have the loacl agent make good the repairs, he refused to assist. As a result of the faulty workmanship the washing machine began to leak and with visable rust bubbles appearing through the paintwork. We tried to claim the repair damage with Ariston, who refused to acknowledge the problem and refused to process our warranty claim. My advise it do not purchase and Ariston front loading washing machine, do not purchase it from Harvey Norman and do not purcahse additional warranty, it is not worth the paper it is written on. Not happy Jan!
